Iceland Express Wins "Best Website" Award

Iceland Express takes top honours at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress in London. 

25 September 2007, Reykjavík, Iceland - Last week Iceland Express beat out six finalists to win the award for “Best Website” at the Low Cost Airlines Congress in London, England.

Websites were judged on two major factors: functionality and content. The functionality of each site was determined by going through the booking process and rating  its ease-of-use. The content criteria focussed on the information contained on the site, including travel tips and recommendations.

The immense field was open to every low cost carrier with a website on which passengers can book tickets. Iceland Express was chosen as one of seven finalists by a panel of industry experts, ultimately being awarded the trophy.

The World Low Cost Airlines Congress is in its fourth year of providing a forum for low cost airlines to discuss opportunities and challenges facing the industry. This year, representatives from over 132 airlines from around the world attended the three-day event.
